This morning I woke and found Mommy and Daddy speaking with several nurses and a Doctor who looked very familiar. I tried to hear the details of the conversation, but I just wasn't close enough. However, I did see the Doctor pointing down his throat at the same time turning to look my way. As soon as he left, the bus arrived and it was driven by that anesthesiologist. Not again!
Once I boarded the bus and we started to drive, Mommy and Daddy followed along behind. On the way, I asked Daddy how the Cardinals did in the Super Bowl game. He told me, "Let's not talk about it." The next thing I remember I was waking up and there was nothing in my mouth. No more tubes! So it seems that I was right all along. When I grow up I should become a Doctor. I'm way ahead of the game.
There is this strange thing, four times the size of my ET tube, sticking out of my neck. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I'll have to think about it tomorrow. Nurse Nancy just came in with some "happy juice" for me.

What a wonderful way to feel sooo connected to you all....we are keeping you in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers......and, by the way, Noah, I rooted for the Cardinals, too, but it is only a REAL Super Bowl when the PACK plays!!! You are such a special little baby and we're sending all our love from Iowa to California!! Dave and Mary-Sue
ReplyDeleteWhat a guy! And I confess that I hate watching sports, but reallly wanted the Cardinals this year - and when yhou get older, you can watch all the cool commercials. Keep those nurses on their toes!

Hey Noah, Its Nana here. I saw you yesterday but you were getting "happy juice" so you probably don't remember Papa and me visiting. We love you very much and cannot wait to hold you. Sierra your dog is staying with us while Mom and Dad visit you. She cannot wait for you to come home. Sierra wants me to tell you that she played with your cousin Hunter this week-end and she loved licking Hunters hands especially after Hunter had eaten his barbecue pork sandwich. Nana has lots of cool boys toys for you and Hunter and that new cousin (coming in July) to play with. We will see you soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gift you have been given in your amazing parents and family! You are being lifted up by sooo many people.. You are loved and we cannot wait to meet you in person.. Love from the Bells

ReplyDeleteWell, I have everyone I know praying for all of you, and I am so glad to hear that things are going well. I am sorry that you missed the Superbowl, it was actually better than the commercials this year. I had a bit of happy juice myself that day;)
ReplyDeleteHang in there, all of you! I can't wait to meet you, Noah.
Love, Shari
We have enjoyed sharing in your blessing by following along with the updates of your gift of little Noah. A child is truly one of the most pure, sweet gifts of love.
