Spring Migration of The Elusive Noah

As the weather heats up in California, the elusive Noah begins it's annual spring migration. We were, once again, fortunate enough to witness this rare event. Notice the speed in which the Noah travels due north without the need for camouflage. We still do not understand it's orientation and navigation patterns, but the faint echo of "one, two...one two" are crucial clues in our ongoing investigation.

Fourteen Months

What a beautiful month we have had in CA. We welcomed a new {girl} cousin, had a visit from Cuz Jonah {and his parents}, spent quality time with friends {from near and far}, and had several appointments with doctors. Noah's current stats are:

Weight: 26 pounds 4 ounces
Height: 31 1/2 inches

This Tuesday morning, Noah will undergo surgery to fix the strictures in his urethra. We are anticipating an easy procedure and should be home that very same night. Here's to one tough little man with one straight little tube!

Picnic at the Park

We have been so blessed with a steady stream of family and friends traveling back home to Fresno. Last weekend, two of my girlfriends from junior high/high school/college visited with their families. We decided the weather was so beautiful {upper 70s} that we should have a picnic.

The Jacksons got there a bit early and had some fun with Noah on the swings.
Boy does Noah love the swings!
Noah has been practicing wearing his hat. Ain't he the cutest thing ever?!?
Here are the ladies...Susan{holding Amy's daughter, Grace}, Amy, Diane {holding her son, Tyler}, and yours truly {holding Noah}. Here's most of the crew...Susa had not gotten there yet. Thanks ladies for the awesome picnic! We need to do that again!!!!

Friends

We had a great dinner with our good friend, the Mc Ilhargeys, last weekend. It is always so much fun to get together with other {new} parents and talk about how our boys are doing, what they are doing, and how we're handling it. I always walk away feeling less alone and more "normal".

It was fun to see the two boys interact and play with each other. They became very good at taking toys away from the other one. We're going to have to start learning how to share!

Cuz

Last week, my brother and sister-in-law from Iowa came out to sunny CA for a fun filled week of food, family, and bridal showers. It was awesome to see them, spend some time together on a double date, and play with my nephew, Jonah. We were having so much fun together, that Mama forgot to take out her camera very much. I do have a few pictures of Jonah in the exersaucer playing and Noah on the outside playing.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Thanks to the inspiration from my good friend Amy, I have been using freezer paper to stencil adorable shirts. Noah just loves his handmade shirt from Mama!
Hope your day is full of green!

Finally...a girl!

We're so excited to finally have a girl cousin in our family. My sister-in-law, Melissa, gave birth to precious little Brooklyn Lekili yesterday. Baby and Mama are doing well. We cannot wait to meet the little princess. Congratulations!

Giggling

Noah is generally a happy little guy! He loves to be tickled, surprised and tossed through the air to feel his tummy do flips. Although he doesn't make any sound while laughing, it is easy to tell when Noah is crackin' up.

Just after a bath last night, Daddy-O caught me tickling my little man. The giggles just bring joy to my day.

The Elusive Noah

Last night, we were fortunate to capture a rare glimpse of the Noah. This elusive creature is constantly on the move, migrating from den to watering hole. We were hot on it's trail, strewn with plastic carcasses covered in the tell-tale drool, when coupled with luck and months of migration research, we came upon it crossing the high plains. Notice the Noah's graceful slide and majestic curls as it passes. It's contentment is evidenced by the low, rough purr. What a privilege it was to observe this amazing creature in it's natural habitat.
