Twenty-Four Months

Mr. Man is two years old! Can you believe it?!? Two years! As I think back to the day he was born, it seems like so long ago and yesterday at the same time. For a while, I didn't even know if we would make it to two years...and yet, here we are.

Bubs is doing MUCH better today. It's shocking what drugs {only the good kind} and sleep will do for the soul. He's been on antibiotics for 36 hours and was able to sleep in and take a good l.o.n.g nap today. Kc did an awesome job serving as Healer Extraordinaire. I do believe my Stinkpot is ready for his party.

Noah's current stats are:

Weight: 30 pounds 2 ounces
Height: 33 inches

I'm two!
{Noah has been practicing holding up two fingers for several months now, but still can't get the hang of it}
I just lurve my Ryan Bear!
{squeeze}
Our amazing friend Lisa, of Bug O' Boo, created THE MOST ADORABLE Noah's Ark shirt for Bubs second birthday party. If you remember, she made Noah's pirate shirt for his first birthday party. When we told her about Mr. Man's Ark themed party, I had no idea what she would come up with. When Noah opened his shirt on Monday {after marveling at the bag it came in for WAY too long} he was thrilled with all the animals on the front. In fact, he can sign every single animal on his shirt. Too cute!

We're looking forward to Noah's party tomorrow. It will be a great time spent with family from far and near as well as friends who have become like family. We are so blessed to be the parents of this amazing little boy! God is truly faithful and has carried us thus far. We can't wait to see where this adventure leads us!

Nobody Told Him

Apparently nobody bothered to tell Noah that it's his birthday tomorrow. He's turning the big 2!!!

Nobody told him about his most fantastic birthday party on Saturday. It's a Noah's Ark theme. Get it??? Two by two...he's turning two...too cute!

Nobody told him about all the friends who are coming and all the fun he's going to have.

Nobody told him about the fun of opening presents on your birthday. All that paper that you get to rip and ribbons you can tear.

Nobody told him...so now he's sick again! Are you kidding me?!? Again?!? We only had a few days with our happy Bubs and now he's unhappy Bubs again. Sore throat, vomiting, open mouth, drooling...could this be strep throat again?!? EEEEEEEEEEEK!

Noah's back on antibiotics and fortunately Daddy-O will be at home with him tomorrow. They can work hard at getting better.

He WILL get better!

He's GOT to get better.

He's got a party to go to!

Someone oughta tell him that...

Go Pac Go!

Noah is quite the fan of football...much to the delight of Daddy-O. He's also quite the fan of the Green Bay Packers...much to the chagrin of Daddy-O. Shortly after he was born, Bubs received his first Green Bay garb from Aunt Mary Lynn, Nicole, Marvin, Megan and Dakota. He was able to wear the shirt, but had to wait a bit to wear the sweats. Well...that time has come.
There was plenty of opportunities for Mr. Man to shout "touchdown".
During half time, Stinkpot and I threw the ball around a bit. A future Heisman Trophy winner if ever I saw one.
On a medical note, three days ago, Noah was started on another antibiotic. This is number three. The doctor thought he never got over the initial trach infection before the flu and strep throat attacked. I am SO pleased to announce that Mr. Man slept through the night...for the first time since December 22. His "old" routine was to wake up {at least once} between 2am and 4am with a coughing spell that would last about an hour and usually lead to vomiting. It was SO NICE to sleep until 7am this morning. SO. VERY. NICE.

Let's hope this antibiotic #3 is the magic pill I've been hoping for.

Where's Your Hand?

Shortly before Christmas, Noah started putting his hand in his sleeve and waiting for you to ask him where it is. He thinks it's HYSTERICAL!
Bubs is without pants once again...this seems to be a theme.

Perhaps we have a budding comedian on our hands.

Feeling Better?!?

When your bathtub looks like this...
and Mr. Man looks like this...
I think you can cautiously say that he is feeling a tad bit better. Thank goodness!!!!!!!!

Infirmary

It's been WAY too long since I've posted anything and I apologize. The Jackson household has been a true infirmary these past three weeks.

Right before Christmas, Mr. Man was hit with a nasty trach infection which was followed by the flu. Not just any flu, mind you, but a real nasty, last for several weeks, kind of flu. It was so bad, in fact, that we have been to urgent care once, seen the pediatrician twice, and have contemplated checking Noah into the hospital. Bubs' flu has lead to strep throat which has just knocked him out...vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, nausea, runny nose, excessive secretions, and fever of 102.8. Mr. Stinkpot has not slept through the night since before Christmas, thus, neither have we.

As if this isn't enough, Kc caught a cold last week and developed an ear infection. Seriously?!? An adult with an ear infection?!? Yep!

So...we've both been struggling to keep our heads {and ears} above water while we take care of our sick Little Man. I think I have been struggling most of all. Heading to work every morning and leaving my sick Bubs is just breaking my heart. Watching him cry, sign "Mama", and reach out for me is just heart wrenching. I have been having a hard time being upbeat and patient with my students at work and an even harder time being loving and supportive to my hubby at the end of the day. I pray every night that I am filled with love and patience while Noah is filled with strength and healing.

Cousins...Part Two

When Jonah {and his parents} were here for Christmas, we took the annual "Cuz Photo". If you remember, we took a picture with Cuz Hunter and Cuz Brooklyn over Thanksgiving.
Jonah and Noah truly had fun together. They were such angles when the photo shoot started. What did you say?Hey...you've got pretty cool jammies on.
What a difference a year makes!
