We went to Mommy's work
Yesterday was a very exciting day for Noah and I. It started out with a lunch date with my fellow first grade teachers. It is tradition that we go out to lunch every Friday. It is a chance for all of us to talk about our weekend plans, tell stories about the funny things that happened in our classrooms, and most of all, have conversations with people over the age of seven. We had a wonderful lunch and Noah got to be held by Andrea, Shana and Natalie. Following lunch, we headed over to my classroom and I introduced Noah to my kiddos. Unfortunately, there is a "bug" going around, so five students (Isabella, Eric, Bella, Jack and Madi) were not able to meet Noah. He did, however, get to meet Emily, Jaden, Aubrie, Ali, Meg, Davis, Jane, Trinity, Sam, Luke, Freddy, Natlaie, Tess, Lily and Max. It was so nice to see their smiling faces and spend some time with all of them. I cannot believe how much they have grown since January. Their teacher, Miss Catey, is doing a GREAT job in Room 9. I promised them that Noah and I would see them at Open House in April and that I was looking forward to returning to the classroom in May. Before we left, they all got to sign Noah's casts. How very cute!

What an amazing day! I think the special day should definately be a part of the kiddos' Memory Books as memories don't get much better than this :-) I even know of a couple of former kiddos who are jumping at the chance to add their names to Noah's casts. We love all!!
ReplyDeleteHis casts, with all the kiddos' names on them are so cute! Great pics.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Love the signed casts. How special. Sure wish we could have been there for the dedication. What a special day. Thanks for all the updates. We love you guys!
ReplyDeleteWe all had lots of fun having Noah visit on Friday! The Room 9 Miners are looking forward to seeing you at Open House.Thank you for visiting! We all miss you!
ReplyDeleteMs. Catey
How is it that Noah has a more eventful life than I do?!?! It looks like everyone had a great time. I'm sure all your students loved seeing you.
ReplyDeleteDear Becky,
ReplyDeleteHow great that Noah got to meet your students! They are so lucky to have you for their teacher. Now, when you go back, they will know what you have been doing and can ask about baby Noah and send little notes to him, etc. Maybe the cast-signing will become a fun ritual for them, until the doctor says Noah doesn't need them anymore. Thanks for sharing this heart-warming visit with us. Love, Ruth
Mrs. Jackson,
ReplyDeleteI was very sad that I was not at school on Friday to meet Noah and to see you. I think he is soooo cute. Will you come back to see our class again so I can see both of you?
Love, Madi
