Five Months

I cannot believe that Noah is five months already. The time has gone by so quickly and our little man has grown so much. I am so excited to announce that Noah is currently:

Weight: 15 pounds 5 ounces
Height: 25 inches

He is holding his head up so much better now days is smiling and playing quite a bit more. This was the easiest monthly picture we've taken so far. Noah sat up (well actually leaned back) and never once fell over.

For Father's Day, Noah got Daddy a Handycam - how did he know that was exactly what Daddy wanted?!? We're finally able to take respectable videos of our little man. This morning, Noah was playing on the floor, rolling from side to side and "tap dancing". He was SO happy!

P.S. Thanks Freddy (a student in my class) for the blanket Noah is playing on. He absolutely LOVES it!

Wow, Noah! Almost THREE pounds and ONE inch in just ONE month!! That is awesome! Ryan's bear looks so little next to you now. God is doing such an amazing work in and through you! All those "pinches to grow inches" and "smiles to grow miles" are really doing their job :-) Good job keeping your head up. We love to see ALL the videos of all the progress you are making and the fun you are having; we are just waiting for you to hit the stage with your tap dancing routine. Love to all...

What a sweet little dancer! Noah is a "can-do" kind of fellow. He is amazing! We all love him very much and send tidal waves of affection his way, every time we see him on this amazing web site. Thank you so much for letting us in on all the fun of watching him grow, and smile and kick and dance :-) Love, Cousin Ruth

Noah, 15 pounds 5 ounces is pretty impressive, but I've got my sights set on you. My dad say I'm a champion eater. When we meet in August, we'll see who weighs the most!

Congrats Noah on being a big 5 months old. Don't grow up too fast though!!! Mia saw a picture of Noah and said "HI NOAH, HE'S MY FRIEND". She also was waving at the screen when watching the video. Looks like Little Noah already has some female admirers that want to be his friend. Keep on enjoying every moment with your little angel you will never get this time back!!!!

The Story

Our son, Noah Stone Jackson, was born with a very rare genetic disorder called Fraser syndrome. Among his many challenges are one “hidden eye”, a narrow trachea (which required him to have a tracheotomy), an imperforate anus (which required a colostomy), difficulty swallowing (which required a G-Tube for feedings), the fusing of his vocal chords (which means he may never speak), and club feet (which are being corrected with braces). Our family is on an amazing journey together. We are learning to walk along this path that God has planned for us, trusting in His infinite love and wisdom. We are taking each day (or each moment) as it comes and relying on each other, our friends and family, and our God for strength. We have a long road ahead of us filled with several more surgeries, lots of recovery, countless hours of therapy, and many trips to specialists around the state. Every day brings us challenges but they pale in comparison to the smiles and cuddles from our little man. Noah is our son, a true gift from God, and we cannot wait to see where this adventure leads.
