Ten Months - Ezra

Our Little Man is growing and changing so much!  He has finally figured out how to crawl and is constantly on the move.  He loves to chase Kitty around and always wants to see what Noah and Ava are playing with.  Ezra's eyes are still bright blue and his hair is a light brown or dirty blond (depending on the light).

Ez-Bug loves to play Peek-a-Boo with his hooded towel after bath time and can pull himself up to a stand at our coffee table as well as the bathtub.  He has never been a fan of sleeping and continues to struggle with naps...we consider it a good day if he gets two naps in that are over an hour a piece.  He is sleeping better at night and is only waking up once to eat, usually between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m.

Ezra's two bottom teeth came in one day after another last week. He was quite the grump for a while but is much happier now they have come in.

It is getting so much harder to get a good picture with all three kiddos.  Surprisingly, Ezra seems to be the easiest to photograph.  Ava is a little wiggle worm who talks and laughs and giggles constantly and Noah is a goofy kid who is working on his fake smile.

Eight Months - Ezra

How is this guy eight months old already?  He continues to be a happy, laid back little guy who DEMANDS to be held as much as possible.  I'm afraid that he will be sixteen years old before he learns to crawl because he is rarely on the ground by himself.  

Ezra continues to love to eat but has a definite opinion about what is put in his mouth.  He prefers fruits and absolutely LOVES yogurt.  He is very slowly learning to eat table food but has a hard time picking anything up so therefor prefers purees (so different than Ava at this age).  He still wakes up at least twice a night to nurse (1:00 and 5:00) and Mama is trying to savor this special time with my Little Guy.  

Ezra loves his siblings and squeals and giggles when they come into the room.  He can sit for long periods of time (although he doesn't like to) and will roll around the living room trying to grab things he shouldn't.

My little Skeeziks is such a happy guy!  He absolutely LOVES to be held and will only tolerate being put down on his play mat or exersaucer for short periods of time.  He is desperately trying to roll from his stomach onto his back during the dreaded tummy time but has yet to be successful.  

When Ezra was born, he had quite a bit of dark hair.  It has all fallen out and dirty-blond hair is currently growing in.  It will be interesting to see how it continues to grow.  Ezra's eyes continue to be bright blue.

Ezra's current stats are:

Weight:  17 pounds 12 ounces

Height:  26 inches

Four Months - Ezra

My little Skeeziks is four months old!!!  He is such a smiley, happy, chill little guy.  He is just starting to get better at tummy time and doesn't scream his head off immediately when you put him on down. I have started back at work and he is doing very well.  After a few days of adjustment, and refusing a bottle, he turned around with quite a bit of help from Daddy.

Three Months - Ezra

Skeeziks is three months old today.  He is a happy little guy who continues to love to be held, hates tummy time, and loves to watch his brother and sister.  His eyes are still blue, although they are lightening up.

Two Months - Ezra

Our little "Skeeziks" is two months old. He is a chunky little monkey and loves to eat! Ezra is gaining a lot more head and neck control although tummy time is not his favorite!

Ezra's eyes continue to be blue and his hair is straight brown. He has given us a few smiles this past week and loves to look at the toys that are hanging on his playmat.

One Month - Ezra

This little guy is one month old today.  He is a sweet and cuddly little guy (and by cuddly, I mean never wants to be put down) who has been such a joyous addition to our family.  Ezra is a good eater and wakes every three hours (like clockwork) to nurse.  He has brief periods of being awake between feedings and loves looking at lights, the ceiling fan, and his siblings.  

Because of Noah and Ava's allergies to dairy and soy, our fantastic pediatrician suggested that I eliminate those foods while breastfeeding because there is a strong likelihood Ezra will be intolerant of them as well. 

Ezra currently has brown hair and blue eyes.  He has more hair than either Ava or Noah at the same age.

Weight: 9 pounds 8 ounces

Height: 20.5 inches

Both Ava and Noah have been amazing big siblings.  They greet him first thing every morning, always want to know where he is and who is holding him, worry when he cries, and snuggle and kiss him as often as possible.  It just warms my Mama's heart to see the love they have for each other.

Sixteen Months - Ava

This girl...oh how I love her so!  She is feisty, silly, active, loud, brave, talkative, determined, and always busy.  She has two speeds...fast and asleep.  She has two volume levels...loud and asleep.  

Ava has quite the extensive vocabulary and talks all the time.  We can understand only about half of what she says but as her consonant and vowel sounds are becoming more clear it's becoming easier.  Some of her words are: Mama, It's Dada, Bu-bu (what she calls Noah), Kitty, Sierra, Nana, Papa, up, eat, milk (which she does not like), water, cookie, cheese, juice, book, ball, car, baby, diaper, shoes, bow, hat, bink (her pacifier), bub-un (belly button), cow, duck, bear, sit, all done, oben (open),  hi, and bye.    

Miss Ava is also so very active.  She rarely sits still and loves to run and climb.  We had such a hard time taking her monthly picture because she refused to sit in the chair.  Little Miss screamed and cried and climbed down every time we put her in the chair...this is the one and only picture Kc got of Ava actually sitting and looking at the camera.  I'm sad we didn't get a picture of all my babies together this month...we'll try again next month.  

She definitely keeps us on our toes!

Fourteen Months - Ava

12 Months - Ava

This little beauty is one year old today!  The saying that "The days are long but the years are short" is becoming so true to me.  This year has flown by and I cannot believe how much my Baby Girl has grown and learned in that time.

Ava is now an official walker!  She has the cutest little "wiggle walk" with both hands up for balance.  She can stand up (without holding on to anything) when she falls and keep walking along.  She loves swings and slides and water and dancing and basically anything that involves movement.  Baby Girl is an ACTIVE little girl.  She does not like to sit still and is definitely not a cuddler...she would much rather be moving.

Sweet Girl is still sleeping well at night.  She usually goes down around 8:00 and wakes at 5:00 to nurse but will then go back to sleep for another hour or so.  I have been so blessed to be able to breast feed Ava (Noah never did) and it continues to go very well.  I am sure we will think about weaning in the next few months, but for now I am savoring every moment.

Ava's hair and eyebrows continue to be red and her eyes are a brown/hazel color (depending on the light). She definitely has the beautiful pale skin to match her beautiful red hair.  She continues to love a variety of different meats, vegetables, and berries but ALWAYS wants to feed herself.  She will knock food out of your hand so it falls onto the highchair tray and then pick it up to eat it.  I think we have a very opinionated little girl on our hands.

We had a hard time getting a good picture of both kiddos.  For whatever reason, Ava was not terribly excited to sit next to Noah....well...I think it was less about sitting next to Noah and more about the sitting in general.

Ava finally took her finger out of her mouth but refused to smile.

This one just makes me giggle...they are definitely siblings!!!

Eleven Months - Ava

My Sweet Baby Girl is just getting so big!  Can you believe that she is almost a year old?!?  This past year has just flown by!

Ava has recently discovered berries and has fallen in LOVE!  Previously, my Little Miss took a dim view towards any fruit we put in front of her.  Peaches...NO! Bananas...NO! Pears...NO! Cooked Apples...NO! Pineapple...NO! Grapes...well...maybe. Raspberries...YES!!! Blueberries...YES!!!  She is becoming quite the foodie at such an early age.

Ava's fourth tooth recently broke through and I just love her toothy grin.  She is starting to take a few steps on her own and really wants to walk but doesn't quite have the confidence or coordination yet.  She is crawling up onto anything she can, loves to dance, and has learned how to stick her tongue out and make funny faces {thanks Papa for teaching her that}.

Ava's current stats are:

Weight:  22 pounds 10 ounces
Height: 29 inches

I think Ava looks a lot like her brother in this picture.

Ava is quite the mover and shaker.  She is always on the go and does not sit still for very long.  

This reminds me so much of Noah at about the same age.

Ten Months - Ava

My Sweet Baby Girl is double digits...ten months!  Can you believe that she has been out of the womb longer than she was in?  Ava continues to learn and grow and simply melt our hearts.  She now has a third tooth {two on the bottom and one on the top} and is looking so much more like a toddler than a baby.  Her hair is a beautiful copper and eyes are staying a grayish-hazel.

Ava just loves her big brother and squeals whenever she sees him.  Noah is such a loving and tender big brother.  He plays with her, looks after her, loves to tell her "NO" when she is touching something she shouldn't, and wants to make sure she is included in everything we do...as if we might forget about her.

Ava says, "Da" whenever she sees our dog, Sierra, and chases Kitty any chance she gets.  She can blow kisses, clap and play "pat-a-cake", blows raspberries, loves to dance, and stops crying whenever she hears me sing {her favorite song is "Come Thou Fount"}.

Height:  28 inches

We're going to have to get a bigger chair soon.
