Artist

Bubs loves to color {markers only, please, no crayons} and paint.  He loves to pick out his watercolors, rub the bristles in the paint, and watch the colors develop.
Beautiful spring colors on sunny yellow paper.
Don't real artists always stand back and admire their work???

Just a little bit more red, I think.
This is just SO MUCH FUN!!!
I think Bubs might be creating a masterpiece.
How come my hands are so colorful???

The finished masterpiece.

I just realized that Bubs is wearing the same shirt in the last several posts.  I promise that he has more one shirt.  I guess that every time it gets washed and put away, I just put it on top in his drawer.  When I get him dressed in the morning, I simply pull the top shirt out and put it on.  I'll have to try and mix things up a bit in the future.

Just Add More Water

Sierra just loves water and takes any opportunity to go for a dip in the pool.  Last weekend, Daddy-O opened the pool gate and let her dive in.  Noah was quite interested in the pool and the silly dog who was braving the frigid temperatures.
Noah wanted desperately to get beyond the fence.  He kept signing "open".
So this is how you scale a fence!
Noah tried as hard as he could to get close to Sierra.
Daddy-O had to keep both hands on Mr. Man at all times.
Perhaps Bubs was remembering last summer when he got to go swimming.

I think I see many more days spent by the pool in Bubs' future.

Boy Meets Ladder

Boy meets ladder.

How in the world do you climb this thing?
Oh, I get it now!
Look at me!
The view from the top is breathtaking.
Please, please, please can I climb up again?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I made a lucky shamrock shirt for Bubs again this year.  It's truly amazing how much Mr. Man has grown in one short year.
Noah is thanking me for his awesome shirt.  HUGS for the MAMA!
No St. Patrick's Day celebration is complete without a few potatoes.
Or are they spuds?
And perhaps a bit of Guinness...for Daddy-O, of course.

One laid back dude ready to celebrate!

King of the Hill

Nana and Pop-Ro have a great little hill right behind their pool.  My Little Bubs decided that little hill was in need of conquering.

On the ascent.  I think I can...I think I can...I think I can.
This is just the coolest ever!
Are you watching me Mama?

There's a tree up here at the top.  {Noah is signing tree}

I did it!  I made it to the top!  Yay Me!!!!!!!!!

How Far We've Come

It's amazing what a little bit of time, patience, and experience will do for a Stinkpot.

We all know how much Bubs HATED sand.

Yes, you read that right...hated.

Mr. Man used to hate sand, but now has a new found love and appreciation for the grainy stuff.  Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day and we decided to take advantage of God's creation and do some playing outside.  We headed to our nearest and greatest park {Nana & Pop-Ro's backyard} and had an adventure.  Noah immediately signed sand

and wanted the lid taken off the sandbox.  Ok, I thought, this isn't going to last long.   Isn't it just like a little guy to try and prove his Mama wrong.  Noah jumped right in and immediately grabbed the nearest shovel and cup.
This is a cool rake!
What in the world is this crazy thing?!?
Zooming cars along the sand is quite fun!
I think my poor washing machine will have a lot more work to do now that Bubs is playing in the sand.

Excuse Me Waiter...There's Food In My Bowl!

Several months ago, September to be exact, Noah started seeing an occupational therapists for his sensory and feeding issues.  We are lucky that the appointments are on Mondays and Kc is able to take Bubs.  Our therapist is so enthusiastic and methodical with Mr. Man.  She knows exactly how much to push him and does a great job teaching us how to gently push him as well.

Two weeks ago, Noah's therapist put water in a bowl and "taught" Noah how to put a spoon in the water and then touch it to his tongue.  Noah gets a turn with his own spoon and then we get a turn with our spoon.  It's great that Bubs gets some control and can feel safe with his own spoon and then we can make sure he gets the practice he needs.

Last week, the therapist added just a bit of pureed peas to the water.  Not only is Bubs getting a touch of liquid on his tongue, but that liquid has some taste to it.  So far, we've been able to practice a few times each day and our Little Stinkpot is doing better and better.

Noah's turn to put the spoons in his mouth.
Mama's turn to put the spoon in his mouth.

Nobody's turn to put the spoons in his mouth.

We've got a long way to go, but the fact that Bubs is putting wet, pea water spoons in his mouth is just HUGE!!!!

Noah's Journey

Several weeks ago, we were contacted by Children's Hospital Central California and asked if we would like to share Noah's story.  We agreed...and here it is...
